REVIVAL- Who Needs it?

34 percent of the population believes they are "born again" while 25-30 percent
does not believe there is a "personal divinity" at all.

The 1990 ARIS study found that 86.2 percent of the population described itself as Christian, a
slice that shrank to 76 percent in 2008. Catholic, Baptist and "mainline" Christian faiths
(e.g., Methodist, Lutheran and Episcopalian) populations declined, as did those who described
themselves as Christian without a particular denomination. But there were more people
who described themselves as evangelical or born again and in Pentecostal denominations.
Now, 49 percent of all Christians describe themselves as "born again."

Someone has said- standard of living is up- yet chances of living are down-
Higher technology- lower morality
People are busier than ever- on meaningless endeavors...
More investment in things fading away....
So much spent on beauty- products- while bodies grow old and deteriorate....

Is there any concern for the eternal?
Many have been fooled to push away the thought!

They say- no one can know for sure! How do you know? Do you know everything?
Only then could you make such a statement.

So there is a possibility of an afterlife- an since there is that possibility-
one MUST be prepared EVEN for the POSSIBILITY!

For example: it MIGHT rain- I had better take an umbrella!
For example: the car could break down- I had better take a cellphone-
For example: I might die- had better make a will!

For example: there might be a Heaven to gain- a hell to shun- I better think
seriously about it! and attempt to talk to God now- and settle issues! NOW!

People grow older- I had better get an education and good job!
I should make plans for retirement while there is time!
I had better be industrious- go to the ant thou sluggard!
